The slasher film tells the story of a fictitious small town in California that is terrorized by a masked killer through phone calls and threats. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), whose mother was murdered the year before, is the main character and the killer's target. The movie plays out like a detective story in which almost every character is suspected of being the killer. Following the principle of the counting rhyme, the victims of the serial killer become more and more and so does the circle of suspects.
The bleeding scream mask is supplied with blood by a pump in the shape of a heart. The blood runs under pressure in a circuit over the mask's face.
