Before the guillotine was invented, executioners had to do their work by hand. The executioners were often huge guys who hid their faces in dark hoods so as not to be recognized. Execution with the axe was often not quick or clean enough, which is why Henry VIII of England mercifully had his ex-wives executed with the sword. In the executioner costume, you become part of this sinister guild.
The executioner men's costume XL consists of a tunic, trousers, a hood with collar, a belt and arm warmers. All parts of the costume are black. The sleeveless tunic reaches down to the knees. The wide collar of the hood is cut out in a square like the hem of the tunic, giving it a medieval look. A silver square rivet is set into each of the small squares on the collar. The faux leather arm warmers also have these rivets. The faux leather belt is tied around the tunic and the trousers are held in place by an elasticated waistband.
