Difference between Eyeliner Pencil & Liquid Eyeliner

Both make-up tools can be used to draw an eyeliner line. The biggest differences lie in handling. Depending on your practice and familiarity, one or the other make-up tool will be easier for you to use.

The eyeliner pencil is available in various thicknesses and is sharpened to the desired thickness with an eyeliner sharpener. The result when applying is usually a bit softer and more subtle than when the eyeliner line is drawn with a liquid eyeliner. An eyeliner pencil is recommended for aspiring make-up artists who do not yet have much make-up experience. These are also generally cheaper but have the disadvantage that they break off repeatedly.

The liquid eyeliner appears "harsher" as a liquid eyeliner and emphasizes the eye area much more clearly than an eyeliner pencil. Applied correctly, a liquid eyeliner creates a striking contrast to the white of the eye. The liquid eyeliner is applied with a brush or a foam-tipped applicator. The advantage is that liquid eyeliner draws very precise and delicate lines, but the disadvantage is that any smudges are very quickly noticeable.

 

• Leave no gap between the eyelashes and the eyeliner, this makes the lash line appear finer and more harmonious
• Especially at the beginning, it's easier if you support your elbow when drawing the eyeliner
• It's best to start at the inner corner of the eye and then draw the eyeliner only to the middle, in the second step then from the middle to the outside.

Mascara & Eyelash Mascara

With mascara and eyelash mascara, you create full and precisely defined lashes, which makes the eyes appear larger and more expressive. Highly pigmented and partly provided with nylon fibers, eyelash mascara and mascara provide both a visual and often a real effect of lengthening and thickening your own eyelashes. The fine eyelash brush colors the lashes during application and separates the individual lash hairs while lifting and shaping them.

Tips:

• Insert contact lenses before applying mascara & eyelash mascara
• Remove contact lenses before removing make-up
• Brush mascara from the base to the tip of the eyelashes
• Do not dip the mascara brush several times in a row, otherwise, air bubbles will form inside, leading to clumps
• Do not wipe the brush on the bottle, as this will create clumps that then look like "spider legs"

Eyeshadow & Eye Shadow

Eyeshadow is an essential part of any expressive eye make-up. The effect that can be created with eyeshadow can lead to dramatic changes in the appearance of the eye. With precisely placed eyeshadow, various moods, signals, and erotic stimuli can be conveyed. Make-up artists for beauty and horror make-up use eyeshadow effects to make characters appear good, evil, or sensual.

With decorative eyeshadow, both upper and lower eyelids can be colored. Powder eyeshadow is most commonly used in the world of beauty make-up. To produce powder eyeshadow, color pigments are firmly pressed together with powder. However, there are also eyeshadows that contain nourishing oils and fats; these are usually called cream eyeshadows. Liquid eyeshadow or liquid eye shadow has an additional cooling effect and is therefore very suitable for summer or if someone suffers from swollen eyelids.

Tips:
