After lighting the incense cone, smoke slowly develops and flows through the top opening into the inside of the pumpkin and out of its carved face. Please be sure to place gourd on fireproof surface and never leave unattended when used with lit incense cone! Backflow incense cones not included, these can be ordered separately.

When the Backflow incense cone holder is used, the smoke/mist, may leave a slight residue on the incense cone holder and also on the surface on which the incense burner is placed. The residues are natural oils and resin which are ingredients of the incense cones, these can be wiped off with a damp cloth. Never leave burning incense cones unattended!
